Change Is Good
Life has been really tough and challenging the last 6 months. There has been a lot of change and not much of it has been good. But, there is always a light at the end... Things do get better.
Today was a very awakening day for me. I had a change of attitude and felt very uplifted and hopeful.
I felt inspired.
Inspired to be happy, optimistic, and motivated.
I am in a pretty good place in life right now and I have a lot ahead of me.
The only person standing in the way is myself. So instead of preventing myself from moving forward and moving on, I am going to help myself.
I'm not going to let other people have a negative impact on me.
I am going to do things for myself and not for anyone else.
I am living my life.
There are so many things that I want to do, and it would be great to do them with someone; however, it is not required. I can go on adventures alone.
I can conquer anything.
I can live independently.
I may have the opportunity to relocate. To start fresh and new.
And that sounds amazing to me.
My family doesn't want me to leave. They're afraid of "something" happening to me...
But we can't let fear define us. Otherwise we would never accomplish anything.
One thing that I learned in school that will stay with me forever... CHANGE IS GOOD.
Our professors never let us forget that, and I am going to apply that to my life. Because it is good to change. To get out of the rut that we can find ourselves stuck in. We're here to live our lives, not just endure it.
So we may as well take advantage of any opportunity that is thrown our way and live our lives! I know that if Ashley were here she would be rooting me on. I know that she still does. I know that she is guiding me every day.
However, I have to be the one to take initiative and make things happen. I've spent too much time waiting for someone to do it for me... and that didn't work out at all. We can't wait for someone to change our lives, we have to be willing to do it ourselves.
I am ready to start living again!
I am ready for an adventure, whatever it may be!
And I know that I will always have my guardian angel watching over me.
I love you Ash. Thank you for your enthusiasm and determination! I have needed it and today was proof of that.
